Vietcong 2 is a FPS set against the background of the 1968 Tet Offensive, in and around the ancient city of Hue during the Vietnam War. Brought to life through a gritty story compiled from first hand accounts and memories of Special Forces and Infantry servicemen stationed in Hue during the assault.

2K Announce A Return To The Jungle In Vietcong 2 News

Take-Two's youngest label announces a return to the Vietnam jungle by the end of 2005...

2K Games has today confirmed an of end of 2005 release for Vietcong 2 on PC. The game, which follows on from Vietcong and its expansion pack Fist Alpha, will be created using a new 3D engine and will include all new modes for both single and multiplayer experiences.

No further details have been announced although in a statement Christoph Hartmann, Senior Vice President of Publishing for 2K Games said, "The first Vietcong was a big success for usâ¦Almost two years after its initial release, there are still hundreds of servers and thousands of gamers playing Vietcong all day, every day. With Vietcong 2 we intend to give hardcore fans and newcomers alike an even bigger and better experience."
