2009 For Two SEGA/Platinum Titles News

By Jon Wilcox on 18/06/2008 Infinite Line and Bayonetta are confirmed for next year in SEGA Europe's latest release schedule...

Having confirmed a new relationship with Platinum Games in recent weeks, SEGA has today revealed (by way of an updated release schedule) that two of the titles will be heading to retail at some point during 2009.

Whilst Mad World on Wii had previously been slated for next year, both Bayonetta (for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3) and Infinite Line (for Nintendo DS) have now been added to the list. The multi-title deal with Platinum Games, partly made up from the remnants of Capcom's Clover Studio (including Shinji Mikami and Hideki Kamiya), is the first major deal with Japanese studios since the publisher underwent a strategic shift towards Western-orientated development a couple of years ago.

The three titles join the rest of SEGA's 2009 line up to date, including Aliens: Colonial Marines and Alpha Protocol.
