10TACLE Begins To Wrap Around Climax News

A 'strategic partnership' is formed between the two outfits to create next-gen, PC titles...
German developer 10TACLE and UK-based Climax Group have today confirmed the start of a 'strategic partnership' between the two outfits, with increased co-operation in the production of PC and next-generation console titles.
Two unannounced games are already in development (both action and fantasy-based), one of which is an online title currently being produced for MTV Networks. 10TACLE has also purchased a 29% stake in Climax Group, and hasn't ruled out further integration between the two:
'The agreed cooperation of our companies will form one of the biggest independent development-partnership worldwide for next-gen, PC, video- and online-entertainment. CLIMAX Group Ltd. has many years' development experience and proven technology that it has built up over many years of successful game development. CLIMAX is a developer for several prominent games publishers. The two companies complement each other perfectly on the development and production side. We are very glad that we have found such an experienced partner to strengthen our development capacities and we are currently seriously auditing further possibilities to integrate the CLIMAX Group Ltd. into our organization,' said Michele Pes, CEO of 10TACLE STUDIOS AG.

Together, we are perfectly positioned to deliver international next-gen projects of the highest quality and to pioneer the development of advanced online gaming worlds and social networks.'
The partnership is the latest deal signed by 10TACLE, following its acquisition of Hungarian studio Stormregion, developer of the Codename Panzers series of RTS titles, earlier in the summer.
Climax Group is currently putting the finishing touches to Silent Hill: Origins for Konami, which is due for release at the end of October.
