Nintendo claims another 400% increase in UK GameCube sales this time...

Nintendo today celebrated the success of the recent European price-cut, by declaring that GameCube sales have shot up by an incredible 400% in the first two days since the cut.

David Yarnton, General Manager of Nintendo UK, commented: “The new price for NINTENDO GAMECUBE is great news for everyone, ensuring the console and our great range of software is available to all. The NINTENDO GAMECUBE library of games are unbeatable, and with all the major players developing exclusive and unique games for our system, there has never been a better time than right now to enjoy NINTENDO GAMECUBE.”

It would be nice however to see some figures backing up these claims; if there was one thing we wished above all else for this industry, then it would have to be monthly regulated sales figures to eradicate the spin-fuelled propaganda that has driven this generation of consoles.

If you’re one of the many people to recently indulge in a GameCube, then can we recommend not overlooking the fantastic ‘Viewtiful Joe’ reviewed <a href=http://www.totalvideogames.com/?section=Read Reviews&id=826&gameid=2875&format=000008>here and available from October 24th.
