The Sims, possibly one of the biggest PC games of all time returns with a huge expansion pack, The Sims Livin' Large.
Livin' Large comes complete with new furniture and architecture, the user can create a whole range of enviroments, including rustic turn-of-the century houses, Vegas-style lounges, medieval castles and retro/sci-fi homes. Not only is there new furniture etc but new friends which you will be able to interact with them in totally new ways, new career tracks, including Slacker, Paranormal, Hacker, Musician, and Journalist. At home your Sim will be able to develop his/her personalities and skills in several new ways.
Gameplay
The Sims: Livin' Large will play exactly like the original, however you can expect to see a number of improvements in the AI and general feel of the game. For example your Sim will be able to interact with more object in even more ways. One of the funniest addition is the 'bed fun', when more than one Sim goes to bed they will have the option to play games however you are left to make your own interpretation.
The neighborhood screen will now allow you to chose among 5 neighborhoods, which gives you the power to create and control up to 50 families - that's 40 more than in the original game!
Graphics
Maxis, have gone to great lengths in adding loads of new features etc. There is now a wide selection of furniture and fitings you can use to make your house the ultimate Sim Living Enviroment.
In Livin' Large, Maxis designed "sets" of furnishings that look particularly good together. With that you can also mix and match to create your own interior designs.
Sound
Nothing really new here, maybe the odd new chuckle or laugh but don't expect anything too drastic in the Sound area.
Comments
The Sims: Livin' Large will be a huge and successful upgrade to one of the most impressive PC games to date. Thankfully we only have to wait until September to get our hands on this update.
