Halo (PRESCREEN)

Halo (PRESCREEN)

TVG was invited to a lush resort to see an impressive display of Halo and a chance to talk with the developers Bungie (the guys that made Myth and Myth 2).

Whilst we were unable to play Halo the display we we're given was enough for everyone's draw's to drop to a floor hitting level, Halo will simply change the way we play games in the future, I lost sleep thinking about this game which looks to be so impressive.

The game is set in the distant future and human kind is no longer the superior race, Earth is under attack, and in matter of days a colony of evil aliens are set to blow the Earth and mankind away. You take control of a mercenary who's mission is to distract the aliens from earth. All goes well and the aliens are on our guys butt but suddenly you crash on a planet which is shaped like a Halo. This planet is habited with Aliens and your mission along with a few team members is to destroy the scum that lives there. Using as many weapons and vehicles as you can this mission is going to be tough as you battle your way round an extensive planet in the search for a way home.

The graphics in Halo are truly amazing these screen shots are enough to make you feel dizzy. It is very hard to explain the level of detail without seeing the game running itself, armour shines, shell cases fly out and land in a random order, glass is reflective the list just goes on and on.

Team Playing will be one of the major roles in Halo for example if you obtain a Vehicle one of your members may decide to take the driving position, one may sit in the front and shot at incoming enemies. Lastly your third guy can stand up in the back and shot from a standing position using a heavy automatic machine gun.

Whilst this is only a PRESCREEN TVG will be bringing you a complete Preview very soon.
