Van Helsing Mini Review

It must be a disadvantage in getting into a gameās psyche, based around the film that is currently doing the rounds of UK cinemas, without actually seeing it. Having caught sight of a few sneak peaks of the movie it looked like your standard blockbuster with great special effects and bucket loads of dosh spent on recreating the mythic land of Transylvania!

Big weapons, a villainous collection of creatures and bosses, which include familiar names like The Wolf Man, Frankenstein and Dracula, are just a few of the blood thirsty leeches you will encounter as you take on the role of Van Helsing!

As a glorified monster hunter the action is pretty straight forward ā“ gratifying, fun and does not need much brain power throughout and all you need to know pertaining to the current state of affairs, as you play, comes in the form of icons onscreen ā“ everything is pretty instant and then you move on, or adjust to the situation!

Rip roaring combos, simplistic aiming and a fine progression to the game, where you get better and bigger weapons, that you will spot throughout, give it plenty of get up and go! There are no real deliberating factors to this 13-mission single player game unless you feel that new innovations are the bequest of a top-notch game. Although the movement of the camera is tagged, not allowing the gamer any real control of viewpoints, you will soon get used to this!

Initial reservations were soon washed away and this offers appeal to gamers who want it in their faces!

Nice locations, lots to unlock, nice moves, loads of variety, in fact GOOD solid design, although not overly inventive but enjoyable!
