The musky smell of grown men sweat whilst throwing their arms around like chimps at a tea party, can only mean one thingā¦ yes another EyeToy title has invaded the TVG offices.
This time around itās the turn of Konami to cash-in on the craze with the release of U Move Super Sports, containing 15 mini-games themed around various popular sports that literally drop you into some of the maddest gaming scenarios weāve ever found ourselves in.
Take for example the āJockeyā game in which players have to slap their arse to gee up their horse, whilst pulling on their reigns to conserve stamina; itās completely insane, and in true EyeToy tradition continues the trend of making yourself look like a complete idiot.
Thereās a certain amount of fun to be gained from the game, however as with EyeToy: Play itās only when youāve got a few friends around and consumed ample supplies of alcohol that the game is likely to come out. More worryingly for us is the fact that youāve got to have a level of fitness, unless you want to be complaining about sore arms for the next few days after a frenzied bout ā“ call as old fashion but we didnāt start playing videogames to get fit!
On the slightly disappointing side is the fact that none of the games really stretch the experience any further then what weāve already had ā“ a dilemma that needs to be addressed if the success of the EyeToy wishes to continue.
By now everybody will know about EyeToy, itās the type of thing that you either love or hate; whilst those with a passion for sport will certainly gain more amusement then others with U Move Super Sports.
