Micro-Machines for the next-generation???
The game features exclusively branded racing cars, over 24 race tracks and by collecting 'Aeromile' rewards for daring stunts players can increase their cashflow and upgrade their car on the way to radio controlled car heaven.
The Stunt GP branding will be emphasised through every aspect of the game ranging from the catalogue style interface to car classes, various track types, and numerous course components which provide superb, consistent and unique atmosphere for players to enjoy.
Players are scored on speed, stunts and outrageous combos making use of the enviromental aids available these range from standard jumps to flyovers and 360 Degree loop the loop. There is a wide range of vehicles available, in addition there are many circuits on offer including a Free-Fall Stunt Bowl. Collecting points throughout the game will allow you to upgrade your vehicle at the Stunt Shop.
At this stage the graphics are looking very impressive. The graphics are sharp, colourful and full of imagination which is vital in a game as wacky as this. There is certainly a lot of action going on around you which makes for a nice experience. The car details are also stunning and blend in well with the attractive level designs.
Well Sound is not going to be the strength of the game, but at this stage we are certain Team 17 will give us a handful of strange yet funny tunes to amuse ourselves.
There will be a number of diverse environments in SGP (Beach, Warehouse, Japanese Garden, Rooftop Car-lot) and the music is written to reflect this. The overall style is very much in the mould of the classic 'OUTRUN' feel of the mid â80s. It's meant to be light, fun and ambient.
Stunt GP is looking to be a superb title out later this year for Dreamcast and PC. If all goes to plans Stunt GP will be a game to pick up and play for hours, then go back and play for even more. We will have to just wait and see.
