Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow Mini Review

Sam Fisher makes his long-awaited return to the Playstation2 in Splinter Cell: Pandora Tommorow, leaving Sony fans with a remarkable conversion of the Xbox version complete with a number of goodies exclusive to the version.
Pandora Tomorrow centres on Samās one-man war against an Indonesian terrorist network; empowered with the Fifth Freedom, Fisher embarks on a mission that takes him to the farthest corners of the globe and into the shadowy world of international espionage.
Quite simply the conversion to the Playstation2 is magnificent, it seems as though there have been very few sacrifices from the Xbox version, particularly the fluid water effects and dynamic lighting have survived the translation perfectly.
Playstation2 owners have a number of things to shout about however thanks to the inclusion of a variety of new features. Firstly an all-new jungle mission that is nowhere to be found in the Xbox and PC versions, whilst itās also possible to complete mission objectives through new pathways ā“ granting even more reason to pick up this version. Finally Ubisoft have included a new booby-trap gadget, that allows you to safely disable exploding devices using a similar mechanic to the lock-picking device.
Elsewhere itās pretty much the same game that amazed us on the Xbox; those who found themselves frustrated by stealth titles will likely find no redeeming features here, but for those that like a little bit of sneaking and espionage Pandora Tomorrow represents one of the finest titles that the genre has to offer and a remarkable conversion with very few sacrifices.
