Smugglers Run Preview

Smugglers Run could end up suprising a fair few people.
The job of a professional smuggler has been thus far under-represented in videogames. Loading up a truck full of contraband and making a run for the border sounds like a fun Saturday afternoon. Soon youāll be able to try this from the comfort of your own couch without and hassles from the authorities.
Mission based levels with the cops on your tail are a bit of a nod to Driver, and the thrill of speeding across off-road locales is reminiscent of Vigilante 8 (without the combat elements). They are looking to achieve a balance between realism and fun.
Smugglerās Run in motion is a grand sight. Think of Vigilante 8 with an astonishingly far sight distance and a very realistic physics system. The suspension on your car will realistically respond to the many hills and obstacles across the landscape. Each level seems to be quite expansive, with lots of places to explore.
The gameās sound is still a big question mark since we have not heard it yet. We expect your obligatory array of engine sounds, sound effects, and bumpinā soundtrack.
People often ask me which games Iām most looking forward to this Fall. Smugglerās Run always appears on my list. From what little weāve seen so far, it looks like early adopters of the PlayStation2 this Fall will be in for a treat.
