Well after ECTS we have some new screens and information for you.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
I was lucky enough at ECTS to get an interview with PAN Interactive, so I went along to the interview expecting to only talk to a member of their PR team, fortunately this was not the case. After looking at Intergalactic Bounty Hunter which is another title that is being handled by PAN, the developer of Rock Manager walked over and kindly offered to talk us through the game.
If you have read my pervious articles on this title then you will already know a lot about this game, and for those who havenāt you can read this first look and find out all the details about the game that are known to us.
This game has a lot of features that are going to make it a classic, the first one that will make the games experience different every time you play is your band. Each different member will have their own personalities that will make them 100% unique from all the others, the best part about this is you can pick members that should gel together nicely and all like the same music or if you want a real challenge you can pick members that you know are going to clash and not get on.
So you have the band, you will need to record a demo and take it to all the different music labels and try and get a recording contract. This is a fairly simple process, but can be time consuming if you want to customise the music to your personal tastes. The recording studios offer 20 unique songs that can be customised to your requirements this means that every time you record a song or demo it can sound different from the last time that you used that song.
Once you have your demo straight from the recording studios, you now have the task of picking a record label that will sign you. Each different record label prefers different types of music so you cans tart off at the big labels that will take most different types of bands or go straight to the smaller and more selective record labels.
When you finally get signed by a record label, you will now have two main options either get some more practise in then record your first single or record it straight away. You will run the risk either way as there are costs involved in practicing and recording songs. Each different recording studio will have different equipment depending on the costs you pay, if you go to a small recording studio the costs are going to be smaller but the equipment is going to be inferior to the bigger studios.
What now? Its all going to depend on how well your fist single performed, you could release another single or record your album, each method has its advantages but if your band sounds terrible then you might want them to get some more practise in before recording anything else.
After taking the charts by storm a world tour could be on the cards, this is only going to be successful after you are well know with a fan base that will pack the stadiums or what ever type of venue you wish to tour in.
The interface that you will use in the game is one of the best ideas I have ever seen, everything you will need is in one place so all the building are situated close together meaning that you can find what you want when you want it and not have to spend large amounts of time figuring out what does what.
No matter how well or bad your band does its defiantly going to be fun getting them there. However remember that the band members might not get on so replacing troublesome band members might be a good idea, but be warned that losing a band member might only cause more problems, but on the other hand the replacement band member might get on with your other members like a house on fire.
