With a development team comprising of ex Sonic Team members, I'm sure we're going to love this one.
Gameboy Advance is coming and we can't wait. With the machine will be a stack load of games some good, some bad and some just too strange to describe. I give you one clue to which genre works well on a handheld machine such as the Game Boy Advance? That's correct old-school side-scrolling platformers, everyone loves them, and you can bet your PlayStation 2 that there will be hundreds of them coming. The first out the hat is Hudson's Pinobee: Quest of Heart.
The game uses pre-rendered backgrounds similar to that seen in Donkey Kong Country (but much nicer) to give a bright, colorful environment for our cute little friends. The main character can use his "Flying Dash" move to dash in any direction up to several times in a row before falling back to the ground, and resetting his dash meter. As you can expect all the levels will have a number of secret areas, which will only become available by using this special move. At this early stage there seams to be a nice collection of levels each unique in their own ways, and with the backgrounds being so beautiful it makes for a nice adventure.
Pinobee: Quest of Heart, is being developed by Artoon, the crew is made up of several ex Sonic Team staff, so hopefully we can expect a quality title. The title is due out for the Gameboy Advance's launch during March 2001.
