Ooga Booga, who's up for some four-player online fun!

Ooga Booga places you on an island as a tribe leader; it's up to you to please the goddess Ooga Booga by beating the other tribe leaders up. Basically it's a multi-player game thatās shaping up to be a lot of fun.

Viewed from a third person perspective, you've got to use any means available to pummit the other guys; whether that's by hitting them, charging a wild boar straight at them, fireballing them, hitting them with shrunken heads, you name it just make sure you hit them. As you hit another person you'll gain points, the person with the most points when the timer runs out wins and gets jiggy with a victory dance to Oooga Booga (Which you can control).

There are four characters available to choose from; Hottie is a female who's quick and agile, and particularly adept at fire-based spells. Fatty is well a fat character who's a bit slower than the rest, but much more sturdy when it comes to getting flung across the island from a well-placed mine. Hoodoo is a bit weaker than the others, but is also rather quick on his feet, with a slightly evil demeanor. And Twitch is the "common-joe" tribesman, with a balance between speed, strength and magical ability.

The game will feature five play modes. Smackdown will pit all four tribesā people against each other in a no-rules, battle royale affair. Tiki Wars involves gaining possesion of idols (Tiki's) located on the island, once you've got them they can shoot fireballs at nearby enemies, it's a battle to gain possesion and remain in charge. Golden Tikis is a fortress event where you've got to defeat the enemies Golden Tiki while defending your own. Rodeo is a sort of opposite tag-type game -- you've got to attempt to stay astride a wild boar the longest, while gaining points by ramming the opposition. And, finally, Boar Polo, you've got to ride boars around an arena, attempting to push a large round boulder down the field and into the goal of the opposing team while doing everything in ability to stop the opposition from doing the same.

Graphically the game is looking very nice, although itās never going to knock the likes of Shenmue of itās perch the cartoon style suits the game and runs very smoothly. Importantly the controls are instinctive taking only a few minutes to work out before youāre throwing fireballs left right and center, whilst charging around on a boar.

In the end itās a multi-player game thatās a great laugh, thankfully the online support is shaping up to be the best yet. Players will earn rankings through online matches, and the game will support clan formations and online tournaments.
