March! Offworld Recon Mini Review

The development teams under the banner of Buka have steadily grown up over the last few years, some good and some not so. Perhaps sometimes the background stories are a little over the top but here we have the familiar setting about some kind of attack on Mars with various shenanigans and you have to sort it all out!
The order of the day is a blast a minute - shooting gallery submission, with an abundance of exploring and some mammoth robotic forms showing off their own ungainly prowess.
Although the LithTech engine still has a few miles left on its meter, and will ensure that lower end PCs can run this game, it is starting to fray slightly around the edges and presentation, although good, itās not sparkling. To balance that out some of the environments and weapons give a wholesome feel to the rebel rousing action on offer and there are enough surprises and stings in the tail to ensure you will want to find other intriguing actions that manifest later in the game.
Some motivating Squad tactics are included although like too many FPSs, far too much cannon fodder, with the AI not cranked up high enough! A good to honest FPS but offering nothing really inventive and looking slightly dated in terms of design, interface and presentation.
