By Stephen Leyton on 01/01/1970 It's Zelda, it's on the Gamecube, what more could you want. It’s everyone’s favourite hero, and we just can’t wait to get our hands on a copy of Legend of Zelda for Gamecube.

Nintendo recently showed off a working demo of Legend of Zelda for Gamecube, which had everyone cheering for more. Whilst it didn’t show too much of the game, it was enough to impress those who watched it.

The demo begins as Ganondorf tries to kick Link in the chest, however Link quickly blocks the attack with his shield and is knocked back. After that Link is attacking in all ways possible, one of his attacks is the spin attack. One of the main features that really shine from the demo is the lighting effects, which thanks to the Gamecube Nintendo are able to produce. There are hundreds of light sources coming from different areas of the rooms, the models also feature spectacular lighting effects.

Zelda Returns. The Legend of Zelda is one of the most popular franchises on this planet; it’s been around since the start of console gaming and looks set to stay with us for a long time. It’s also one of the very few franchises to maintain its high quality throughout, and thankfully from the demo we have seen the Gamecube version is set to take the series to an all-new level, with graphics so real, its simply unbelievable.

Whilst there is very little known about this game at the moment, the demo itself showcased probably the most exciting scene in any Zelda game, the final fight with Mr. Bad himself, Ganondorf. Nintendo wouldn’t actually use this for the final battle in the real game but hey it’s only a demo to wet our appetite.

Nintendo has turned Link into the coolest game character ever; he has matured and looks so realistic it’s amazing. Link comes complete with fully animated facial expressions (it’s like watching a real person), You really can tell how he is feeling by the expressions he gives of. When he turns round and takes a slash at Ganondorf, this boy really does mean it.

Comments
Everything about the demo of Legend Of Zelda: Gamecube is perfect; the only minor problem was the length of the actual demo. It left us shouting out “ more, more.”

If reports are correct we should get to see Legend Of Zelda for the Gamecube at this year’s E3. Be sure to visit Total Video Games for the full update.
