Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
They said the dead know no pain....
Things are about to change!
Those of you that would like a more in depth review of this game should check ou the PlayStation review, this one is going to be short and sweet and mainly contains information about the PC version and the improvements it has over the PlayStation version.
Obviously when Soul Reaver comes out on PC you know the graphics and speed is going to be a lot better, the textures are bound to look sharper, the sound will be of a higher quality because there is more ram to work with and the lighting effects will be stunning. Yeah well maybe that's not the case this time. The graphics are simply stunning however they are not that much different from the PlayStation, of course you can get a higher resolution etc, but as the PlayStation version simply was stunning for the spec of the machine there is very little difference.
The game still runs directly from the CD so therefore there is very little loading not that there should be on the PC anyway. The game being structured like this allows you to play the game with full interaction as you won't need to sit and twiddle your thumbs whilst an annoying loading screen pops up.
Unless you have a Game Pad for your PC it becomes hard from times to time to do all the moves that are required to play Soul Reaver, I would say that games like this are bound and are best on a Console rather than a PC, but fair enough it gives PC owners something to boast about. This is a game that no one should miss out on, the experience is something un matched on any other game and you will truly be gripped from start to finish, the levels are massive the interaction is superb you will love every single minute of it till you finally defeat Kain.
