LMA Manager 2004 Mini Review

Whilst football fans are likely to scoff at the idea of a football management title on a console, it has to be said that Codemasters are improving upon the formula and creating a worthwhile management experience for console owners â“ however those used to the likes of âChampionship Managerâ would probably to best to avoid.
Navigation through the multitude of content is surprisingly easy, thanks to some cleverly designed menu screens, allowing you to carry out a vast array of actions including team selection, tactics, training, transfers, etc...
LMA Manager 2004 offers 3D matches to view, which despite their crude appearance actually provide an authentic experience, complete with build up play and according to the tactics you outline.
Sadly the game is devoid of any of the player/manager relations that we expect from football management titles, so you wonât have to find yourself dealing with Rio Ferdinandâs drug appeal or trying to free your stars from a Spanish prison. The game also includes the menial tasks such as stadium development, ticket prices, etc⦠tasks which we feel burden the experience, so thankfully you can assign all of these to your assistant.
All in all an enjoyable experience, however those looking for more depth had better stick to the likes of âChampionship Managerâ.
