We take a quick look at the latest demonstration of Geist from Nintendo and n-Space.

We first saw Geist at last year's E3, presented to us during the Nintendo Press Conference. It was already looking very special at that initial stage. A Year later and Nintendo have even more information including, new screens and some nice video footage.

Billed as a hauntingly innovative first-person adventure with a supernatural twist, Geist will hopefully deliver some memorable gameplay moments to the GameCube. You are John Raimi, a disease-control agent within the federal government, on loan to an elite counterterrorism group. Things start going horribly wrong, you are captured and subjected to an evil experiment that sees your spirit ripped away from your body. As an unseen supernatural being you now roam the halls of a terrorism group named the Volks Corporation. Using your powers you must scare and posses any human or animal character that comes between your way!

As a ghost, you become instantly invisible to human characters within the game allowing you to pass through protected metal doors or small cracks in the walls. As well as being invisible your ghost form allows you to travel at blistering speeds, making everything around you appear as in slow motion. Humans and Animals are not the only things you can posses, you can also take control of everyday items such as lights, computers and fire extinguishers manipulating them to terrify nearby humans and animals. Once a living creature has been frightened, you can then posses their body taking control of their actions and using their unique abilities to pass through the game.

Geist is set for release in the US during Quarter 4 of this year, shall be bringing more hands on information on this exciting title soon.
