Should be good for the younger gamer.
It was 87 years ago that Edgar Rice Burroughs first introduced the character of Tarzan to the world. Since then he has been featured in magazines, comic books, 26 authorised novels, radio and television programs, and more than 43 motion pictures. His popularity knows no bounds, and his adventures continue to thrill and excite audiences even today.
Now Disney Interactive brings us TARZAN the Action Game inspired by Walt Disney Pictures' animated adventure. TARZAN is an innovative and exciting exploration of this classic tale, telling the story of a human baby who is orphaned in the African jungle and lovingly raised by a family of apes. Tarzan's peaceful and sheltered world is turned upside down by the arrival of a human expedition and the revelation that he is one of them. As he struggles to decide which "family" he belongs with, his dilemma is further complicated by his feelings for a beautiful young woman named Jane and the discovery that a trusted member of his new human "family" is plotting to harm the apes.
As the game tracks the development of young Tarzan, it takes him and his friends through a series of thrilling and exciting adventures: Guide Tarzan through the jungle to escape a herd of stampeding elephants; help Jane escape a pack of ferocious baboons; trash the humans' camp with Tarzan's 'sister' Terkoz; and engage the bloodthirsty tiger Sabor in a battle to the death.
Tarzan had a high profile apperance on the Sony stand, with the launch of the film in the next few months it was quite clear that Sony would be backing this one big time. The games bases on Edgar Rice Burrough's classic tale of the Lord of the Jungle retold in the amazing way that only Disney can do. The animation in the game is truely stunning, in fact the animators who created the film are working on this titles to make it as accurate and detailed as possible.
There are a total of 16 levels of swinging, running, swimming, stampeding jungle action which will keep you playing this classic Disney adventure for hours. Obvioulsy this game is designed for the younger audience, however there is no reason why adults can't pick it up and have a quick blast on this adventure. Which will make you gasp whilst playing.
I only managed to have a quick go on this one due to the large grounds which it attracked however you can expect a full review shortly as we master the Jungle!
