Chocobo Racing takes the bonus sections FROM FF7 and expands upon them to create a game in itself.

Chocobo Adventure

Overview:
It happened one sunny day â“ Chocobo went to visit Cid in his workshop. Cid presented Chocobo with his new invention â“ the Jet Blades CR â“ allowing the wearer to race faster than ever! But then an unexpected visitor came callingâ¦

From the creators of the world-wide smash FINAL FANTASY® series comes a racing battle-royale starring the beloved Chocobo and his friends! Race through a fun-filled adventure to see how Chocobo races to Fantasia, or simply concentrate on achieving the best record on one of the many racing modes. Each racer has their own unique vehicle and ability â“ find the one that suits your individual racing style and go for it! Also, be sure to use the Magic Stone power ups to get the jump on your opponents!

Remember that section in Final Fantasy 7 when you had to win the Chocobo race to gain to the new level, fun wasnât it, hell yeah! Well what we have here is game made purely on that concept with a little added bonuses to make it a bit more like Mario kart. Chocobo racing features popular characters from games such as the Final Fantasy series. This game is not only for the younger players but perfect for anyone, for advanced players who can go on to complete the levels, there are added secrets such as hidden racers from other Squaresoft titles.

There are a total of 5 types of play in these are: Grand Prix,, Time attack, Vs, Relay and Story mode, so you can expect loads of action and styles throughout the game which should keep you on it for hours. The story mode allows players to follow an adventure, but also lets you collect new racers each time you complete a story. At the end of the Story Mode, the player is given a score of points which you can then use to change the five different âparametersâ or âstatsâ of your new racer. Ultimately each new racing character you build can be saved on a MEMORY CARD and raced in other game modes. Chocobo racing features 8 chracters including: Mog, Chocobo and Cide from Final Fantasy 7, plus a few surprise characters throughout the game.

Very much like Diddy Kongâs Racing on the Nintendo 64, each character has a unique mode of transportation, from cars to flying carpets and clouds. Players can choose a vehicle from various shapes, weights and speeds, and the capabilities of the vehicles can be improved by picking up special items called Maseki (magic stones) which give them the ability to cast spells in order to help them win the race.

From the quick go we had on this game it looks to be very exciting, and for those lovers of any Squaresoft titles you will be gripped all the way, and if you have some friends round the 2 player mode is fun for everyone.
