2D fighter fans rejoice, the worlds greatest fighters are set to unite in one gaming heaven.

Capcom have also enjoyed the position they lie in with the beat em up market, not only has Street Fighter been one of the most successful selling games, it just never stops. Capcom have teamed up with partner with the same aims as Capcom to create the ultimate beat em up experience.
In the usual fashion, Capcom characters such as Leon from Resident Evil 2 and Mega Man will be fighting with characters from various SNK games for example, Samurai Showdown, The Art of Fighting and the hugely popular Fatal Fury. SNK Vs Capcom looks very similar to the recently releases Marvel Vs Capcom however the game itself will be unique.
It is nice to see a game which brings together some of the best work shown from both Sides Capcom and SNK, for example one of the arenas you fight on is out of Powerstone, the hugely popular Dreamcast game from Capcom.
It is a certain that SNK Vs Capcom will be a huge success story in Japan, however with the release of Soul Calibur in Europe gamers may want more that just a 2D fighter, and it may leave only the hardcore gamers impressed.
In the near future SNK will release the same game for the Neo Geo Pocket and hopefully you will be able to link the Pocket with the Dreamcast and play a cooperative game. Unfortunately no facts have been revealed about the link up as of yet.
