More than 50 games available at launch...

The Xperia Play, Sony Ericsson’s ‘PlayStation Phone’, will launch “in selected markets” from March. The phone will come with a selection of games pre-loaded onto it, including Asphalt Adrenaline 6, Bruce Lee, Star Battalion, The Sims 3, and Tetris.

Sony first revealed the heavily leaked smartphone in a Super Bowl advert last Sunday. In addition to a 4-inch multi-touch screen, the device includes a retractable game pad featuring a full complement of button controls.

Full support for Sony’s forthcoming Android PlayStation Suite is planned for the Xperia Play, giving it access to a range of PS1 classics and ‘PlayStation Certified’ titles when the service launches later this year.

A precise UK launch date for the device hasn't yet been announced.
