Microsoft's alternative retail channel finds its way to traditional retail shelves...

With the traditional summer drought of high-key releases platforms such as Xbox Live Arcade take on increased importance to keep hardened gamers happy during the quiet months.

Such is Microsoft's resolve to keep expanding the popularity of its online service that details of Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged have recently emerged. Essentially a retail release for the biggest titles available via the service, the pack includes:

  • Geometry Wars Evolved
  • Texas Hold 'Em Poker
  • Bejeweled 2 Deluxe
  • Outpost Kaloki X
  • Wik: Fable of Souls
  • Hardwood Backgammon

The pack is also designed to get more gamers onto Xbox Live, featuring a one-month subscription to Xbox Live Gold.

Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged will be released in October for approximately £20; look out for more information soon.
