Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Metal Arms: Glitch in the System set to join the slim pickings of Xbox Originals on the Marketplace...
Not content with introducing a vastly inferior Video Marketplace to Europe, it seems that Microsoft are becoming increasingly happy to just trickle down the number of titles available on the Xbox Originals blade.
Following a drought in March, which came after the veritable flood of THREE whole titles launching on the digital download service in February, Xbox Live's Director of Programming (the self-styled Major Nelson, Larry Hyrb) has today revealed that two more games are set to join fro Monday (April 21st).
Arguably the best in the series to date, Sam Fisher's third adventure, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory sees the Third Echelon spy in the middle of a war between North and South Korea. Introducing a broader sense of freedom in its gameplay, Chaos Theory's release acts as a precursor to the launch of the fifth in the series, Splinter Cell: Conviction, which is due to hit Xbox 360 later in 2008.
The second title to arrive on Xbox Originals from Monday is Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. Launched by Vivendi Games in 2003 for Xbox, PS2, and GameCube, the third-person shooter follows an amnesiac robot as he tries to uncover his past and an intergalactic conspiracy.
Both titles will cost 1200 Microsoft Points (£10.20).
Come on Microsoft, pick up the pace a little. For a corporation whose philosophy revolves around the future of downloadable content, you're not exactly setting the world on fire right now. You've already lost out to Wii and PS3 for the BBC iPlayer, Europe's Video Marketplace is practically a laughing stock, and you can barely get a couple of games every other month out under the Xbox Originals banner. It's almost like you're losing steam...

lol if this dumb a.ss move by microsoft actually happens (live annual subscription up to £80 a year) then considder the 360 100% dead, they should lower the cost not up it like they did with the arcade in september (was £130 now £160) and its all to do with the euro exchange only the in the UK we use pounds not sh.it.ty euros.
