XBLA Gets Cut-Price 'Hits' Range News

Similarly to reatil Xbox 360 games, Xbox Live Arcade is to get its very own 'Classics' range which is being dubbed Xbox Live Arcade Hits. The new range on the XBLA service will kick-off with price reductions to XBLA titles Lumines Live, Zuma, Bankshot Billiards 2, Small Arms and Marble Blast Ultra, reports Xbox Live's Major Nelson.

More key additions for this somewhat belated autumn update due tomorrow (December 4th), include the new social networking features. Gamers can now enhance their personal details with extended bios, while a more open Friends List will allow Live users to peruse the lists of their existing friends. However, privacy settings will allow you to limit who can see your profile.

As has been revealed across the gaming press in recent weeks, the update will also introduce the new Xbox Originals service. This service will allow Xbox 360 users on Live to download classic titles from the original Xbox such as Halo: Combat Evolved, Burnout 3: Takedown and Fable.

Other fine adjustments to the Dashboard include improved navigational controls, a news feed directly from Xbox.com, parental control improvements and new video features.

	By: Anonymous Added:Thu 04th Jun 2009 06:02, Post No: 377 yes the price of the hdd is very expencive in comparison to a 1tb hdd but you can only get a 1tb drive on a pc, what if m$ did bring out a 1tb hdd for the 360 what kind of price do you think m$ is going to charge for it $300 minimum. all you need to do is look at how much sony upped the price of the ps3 when they launched the 160gb ps3, just compare the price of an 80gb ps3 to a 160gb then just take a guess at how much a 1tb ps3 would be.

I can buy an external USB/eSata drive with over a terabyte for the same price Microshaft is charging for the 120 GB version. They are just shooting themselves in the foot though as it keeps me from buying more downloadable content.
