Epic's third-person shooter becomes the fastest selling Xbox 360 title ever in the UK...
Gears of War has become the fastest selling Xbox 360 title in the UK since the release of the next-generation console at the end of the 2005. The game, which surpassed sales of both Capcom's Dead Rising and Konami's Xbox 360 version of Pro Evolution Soccer 6, finds itself at the top of the UK All Format Full Price Charts having gone on sale last Friday (Nov 17th).
The Epic Games' developed title also becomes the second fastest Microsoft title of all title, behind the behemoth that was 2004's Halo 2, and across all platforms becomes the third fastest selling title of the year, behind the multi-format released Pro Evolution Soccer 6 and Electronic Arts' FIFA 07.
Today's news comes just a day after Gears of War knocked Halo 2 off the top of the Most Popular Games played on Xbox Live, a position that Bungie's FPS sequel had occupied since its release two years ago.

lol if this dumb a.ss move by microsoft actually happens (live annual subscription up to £80 a year) then considder the 360 100% dead, they should lower the cost not up it like they did with the arcade in september (was £130 now £160) and its all to do with the euro exchange only the in the UK we use pounds not sh.it.ty euros.
