More movies downloaded, and more friends added, as Microsoft reveals the bump in Xbox Live interest since the NXE's November 19th launch...
Aside from the visual overhaul and the introduction of the Rare-developed Avatars, how has the November 29th launch of the New Xbox Experience affected the use of Xbox Live? According to Product Manager, Aaron Greenberg, the NXE has been nothing but positive for the closed network.
Speaking to several US outlets, Greenberg revealed the number of movie downloads (not including the US' Netflix utility) from the service had increased week on week by 49%. Not only that, but the Xbox Live Arcade also received a significant boost in performance, with sales tripling by November 26th.
"I think we are bringing a much broader audience into the experience...We've made the Xbox easier to navigate and that's resulted in people buying new content. He added, "We'll see over time how that plays out."
Overall, the number of daily users of Xbox Live have increased since the launch, rising by two-thirds. The NXE roll-out has also seen the average number of friends on a gamer's list rise by a third, which some are suggesting is a result of the more sociable Party Mode.

lol if this dumb a.ss move by microsoft actually happens (live annual subscription up to £80 a year) then considder the 360 100% dead, they should lower the cost not up it like they did with the arcade in september (was £130 now £160) and its all to do with the euro exchange only the in the UK we use pounds not sh.it.ty euros.
