We're not entirely sure about this one, but it's out there so we thought we'd bring it to your attention...
Following reports of a deal between Nintendo and nVidia to provide a System-on-Chip processor for the Japanese firm's next handheld, Fudzilla brings word that Microsoft and ATi are cosying up once again for the next-gen Xbox.
It could just be typos (none of us are above the occasional typo), but we're a little unsure of a report that titles the Xbox 360 GPU codename incorrectly as 'Xeons' (an Intel chip targeted towards servers) instead of 'Xenos' and doesn't exactly provide any tangible information to back anything up.
Fudzilla continues the speculation with suggestions that the 'recession' stopped Microsoft and Sony from launching new hardware in 2010. This is the complete opposite to widely-held beliefs in the industry, which have always maintained that this generation will last considerably longer then previous hardware.
You can be sure that with Project Natal launching next year we won't see a true successor to the Xbox 360 anytime soon. As for a deal between Microsoft and ATi, it's not exactly surprising if this does actually materialise but we wouldn't start jumping up and down just of yet, it's very early days.

lol if this dumb a.ss move by microsoft actually happens (live annual subscription up to £80 a year) then considder the 360 100% dead, they should lower the cost not up it like they did with the arcade in september (was £130 now £160) and its all to do with the euro exchange only the in the UK we use pounds not sh.it.ty euros.
