Days away from the New Xbox Experience, Live users have their worst time since last Christmas...
As anyone that remembers the major issues surrounding Xbox Live during the Holiday period last year can testify, when the online service decides to play up, it really does play up...
...which is exactly what happened over the past weekend. But while last year's issues were the result of high traffic levels on the system, the errors in the system this time seem to have been something else – even if Xbox Live was swarming with gamers wanting to take it to the Locust Horde in Gears of War 2 or the Japanese and Germans in Call of Duty: World at War.
According to Larry 'Major Nelson' Hyrb, the Xbox Live Director of Programming, the issue meant that gamers were losing their connection to the service...not exactly ideal when a gloomy weekend is getting underway.
After hours of investigation, the issue has now been resolved, though the service was turned off for an hour earlier today as part of the final preparations before the launch of the New Xbox Experience, which launches on Wednesday.

lol if this dumb a.ss move by microsoft actually happens (live annual subscription up to £80 a year) then considder the 360 100% dead, they should lower the cost not up it like they did with the arcade in september (was £130 now £160) and its all to do with the euro exchange only the in the UK we use pounds not sh.it.ty euros.
