Argos listing suggests that Microsoft's alleged £30 price hike on its Xbox 360 Arcade console is imminent...
UK retailer Argos is currently listing Microsoft's Xbox 360 Arcade model for £156.59, which is over £25 higher than the SKU's current RRP of £129.99 and supports rumours that arouse earlier this month of a £30 price hike for the system in the UK.
In addition to this, TVG received word from an Argos source earlier today of a price reduction on the Xbox 360 Elite from £224.79 to £194.77, although we later received a correction to this which stated that the price reduction "was an error". The Elite is currently listed for £224.97 on the site.
This provides further evidence for a price cut to the Xbox 360 Elite model, which numerous US retailers have now listed at a price point of $299, which is $100 cheaper than the console's current RRP in the region.
If Argos did let something slip earlier today, then its price drop on the Elite to £194.77 indicates that Microsoft is preparing to announce a new RRP of £199.99 for the system (The SKU currently has an RRP of £229.99 in the UK).

lol if this dumb a.ss move by microsoft actually happens (live annual subscription up to £80 a year) then considder the 360 100% dead, they should lower the cost not up it like they did with the arcade in september (was £130 now £160) and its all to do with the euro exchange only the in the UK we use pounds not sh.it.ty euros.
