Activision confirms an adaptation of the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie, scheduled to arrive in the spring...

Raven Software is fast becoming Activision's “Marvel Universe” studio, with news that the outfit is currently working on an adaptation of the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie, which is due to arrive in spring 2009.

The studio, which thankfully hasn't fully cut its illustrious to the first-person shooter genre by also working on the upcoming Wolfenstein, has become increasingly tied to the Marvel characters in recent years, having produced both X-Men: Legends titles, as well as X-Men: Ultimate Alliance.

Focusing (unsurprisingly given its title) on the origin story of Logan, X-Men Origins: Wolverine follows the character through his initial involvement in the Weapon X program, and the aftermath.

“We have an amazing team with Raven Studios at the helm, creating what will undoubtedly be the quintessential, true-to-character Wolverine video game experience that fans have been craving,” said Rob Kostich, vice president, global brand management, Activision Publishing, Inc. “X-Men Origins: Wolverine amps up the action by bringing to life Wolverine’s wholly unique skills such as his brute strength, regenerative mutant abilities, and indestructible adamantium claws and skeleton in an immersive experience that is fitting to one of the most enduring and popular characters of all time.”

X-Men Origins: Wolverine will be arriving on a host of platforms, including Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS, and the handhelds.

Bad review. You guys didn't mention anything about the sound or the graphics, really. You focused on gameplay, which is alright, but to me, sound effects and good visuals and visual performance are just as important.
