X-Men: Legends Uncovered News

TVG today uncovered a new X-Men title believed to be in the works at Raven Software. Entitled X-Men: Legends, the console exclusive action/rpg will be released on the Playstation2, Xbox and GameCube later in the year and marks Raven’s first attempt at a console title.<br><br>Featuring 19 of the most popular mutants from various time periods, players pick up to four characters to control in a group; sources claim to expect a title similar to Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance, whilst players will have the chance to pull off visually impressive team-styled combos.<br><br>Whilst specific details are extremely sketchy, it’s believed the character list currently includes:<br><ul><br><li>Iceman<br><li>Gambit<br><li>Forge<br><li>Beast<br><li>Jean Grey<br><li>Wolverine<br><li>Cyclops<br><li>Storm<br><li>Colossus<br><li>Psylocke<br><li>Nightcrawler<br><li>Angel<br><br>Marvel writers have been enlisted to provide the games backstory, which is claimed to focus on the coming-of-age stories of the various characters.<br><br>We’re certainly intrigued by this one and are glad to see the X-Men license being used in a game other then the typical action/adventure territory; we’ll do our best to uncover more details and hopefully the first screens soon…
