Xbox rumour-mill gets into full swing with sequels, sequels and more sequels…
Mondays - a time to look back on a good weekend, and look forward to a busy and enjoyable week ahead â?“ and a time for rumours to come out of the woodwork; and today is no different, as three Xbox related rumours have hit the web.
Apparently, the canned sequel to Amped and Amped 2, imaginatively called Amped 3, may have been reactivated and could end up as an Xbox 2 launch title. No comment has been issued by Microsoft, and the rumour remains just that.
Konami of America finds itself trying to desperately dig itself out of a hole at the moment, following the addition of the Xbox logo on Metal Gear Solid 3 displays in retail stores. In a valiant act of trying to save face, the company are claiming that the logoâ??s addition to the in-store advertising was a mistake, and that there are no plans to release the title onto Microsoftâ??s console. Weâ??ll keep an eye on how this pans out, but for now it seems like Snake could find himself on more than just the PS2.
Finally, itâ??s kind of inevitable, but the rumour-mill trundles on over to Bungie to make an assumption as to what the next title to be released from the Halo2 developers will be. They are said to be developing a non-first person shooting title, although no further details have been released, and there are some suggestions that the company may return to the Myth series for itâ??s next release â?“ whether or not Microsoft will allow them, however, is another matter.
We love Mondays, and weâ??ll be sure to keep abreast of these rumours, just in case any of them turn out to have a grain of truth in themâ?¦
