Blizzard Updates WoW Battle Plan News

Posting in the World of Warcraft forums, Blizzardâ??s Lead Producer Shane Dabhiri, has released an updated breakdown of where the MMORPG currently stands. Reconfirming the success of the game with over two million global subscribers and what appears to be a strong start in China, Dabhiri went on to describe some of the major and minor updates that have taken place over the past few months including:

• The introduction of the PvP Honor ranking system and Honor rewards.
• The newly released PvP Battlegrounds: Warsong Gulch, a frenetic 10-vs.-10 â??capture the flagâ?-style Battleground, and Alterac Valley, a 40-vs.-40 epic-scale battle for dominance.
• Two new full dungeons (Maraudon and Dire Maul).
• New world raid encounters (Azurgos and Lord Kazzak).
• World events such as Feast of Winter Veil, the Elemental Invasions on Kalimdor, Childrenâ??s Week, the Gurabashi Arena Event, and Noblegarden.
• Many improvements to the gameâ??s user interface, such as additional action bars, quest tracking, and buff timers.
• Over 200 new quests for all levels.
• Over 600 new items, including new professions recipes, epic mounts, and raid sets.
• Over 200 new monsters.
• 12 new flight paths.
• Numerous new class abilities and class-balance adjustments.
• Improvements to many of the dungeons already in the game, such as Scholomance, Stratholme, and Blackrock Spire.

Further updates are set to be released in the coming weeks and months including a new 40-player dungeon called Blackwing Lair where gamers will have to face the dragon Nefarian, a 20-person dungeon called Zulâ??Gurub, and the mysterious lands of Ahnâ??Qiraj in Silithus. Dabhiri reiterated that, â??We are committed to delivering the highest quality online experience for our playersâ?¦dedication to growing World of Warcraft for years to come.â?
