Blizzard Commits To China News

World of Warcraft developers announce their commitment to mainland China...

Blizzard Entertainment, developers of MMO World of Warcraft, has announced further commitment to developing its business in China. The company has also confirmed an invitation to its Chinese partner The9 Interactive to negotiate the distribution of the WoW expansion pack, The Burning Crusade which is expected to launch in the territory in 2007.

The company has seen subscription levels rocket since World of Warcraft's initial release at the end of 2004, with latest figures from the beginning of March 2006 confirming over 6 million players worldwide.
