Sierra Entertainment announces a raft of bonuses for gamers who pre-order Massive's upcoming strategy title...

Coming in September, Massive Entertainment's World in Conflict is set to re-write the history books with the 1989 invasion of the US by the Red Army, and the threat of nuclear war on the continental United States becoming a reality.

As the build up to the war continues, Sierra Entertainment has today announced a pre-order plan, which will come with a host of bonuses for gamers. Besides the obligatory DVD providing an in-depth look at the fall of the Berlin Wall, the pre-order 'Bonus Program' will also include access to the World in Conflict beta in July, exclusive Multiplayer maps, and early access to the MassGate online system.

"World in Conflict marks a great step forward for the strategy genre, effectively blurring the lines between strategy, action and first-person-shooter," said Cindy Cook, chief marketing and strategy officer for Vivendi Games. "The pre-order campaign offers fans the exclusive chance to grab extra maps and materials that would make any game fan or cold war aficionado excited. With its exciting gameplay and amazing technology - if there's one strategy game to try this year, it's World in Conflict."

Rumours have also emerged that World in Conflict may be opening a second front on Xbox 360 sometime in the future, though this is yet to be officially confirmed by Sierra.

Ummm did you not get the whole satire of the storyline?  Take one look at the A-Team trailer to realise Massive were taking the piss with the whole America thing.

"OK its a fine game. But i wouldn't play it more than 5 minutes since its a love y propaganda for love y americans! This game was developed to excite fanatics. Once again the "BAD" Russians try to destroy "GOOD" America. Wake up people! Or die! If you want a fine game then pay attention to your scenario and ideology! I wonder when we'll see ONE and ONLY ONE game with America as the BAD GUY! Even in Crysis bad Koreans try to control the island and the good Americans stop them! AAAAAA!" You haven't even played the game right? The single player is actually very balanced and does NOT show the russians as evil...

Why do the repair vehicles need to be told to repair your units or any allied units. That should be automatic

This is gonna bust open the RTS genre - forget fiddly, it's all about the action... Surely a 360 version can't be too far behind???
