Ubi Acquires Massive Entertainment News
The World in Conflict studio is picked up by Ubisoft, along with its assets...

Months after it was let go by Activision Blizzard, Swedish studio Massive Entertainment has been acquired by Ubisoft.
The deal includes Massive's personnel and assets, such as the World in Conflict brand, and means the Malmo outfit becomes the 21st Ubi studio.
"We are delighted to welcome the talented team of creators at Massive into the Ubisoft family," said Christine Burgess-Quemard, executive director of worldwide production studios at Ubisoft. "Ubisoft is growing at an intense pace and our strategy is to ensure the strength of our global creative teams. Massive has put together a group of some of the most confirmed and recognized creators in the industry and I know that their talent and innovation will allow them to seamlessly integrate into our worldwide network of production studios."
"Massive's development team places great importance on its freedom to innovate and create games of the highest quality," stated Martin Walfisz, president and founder of Massive Entertainment. "We are fortunate to have found in Ubisoft a publisher who shares the same values and understands our mindset. I have no doubt that our future together will offer significant mutual benefit and synergy."
A console version of World in Conflict had been due to arrive before the end of the year, but with months of being in limbo, it's unclear when (or if) the game will launch.

ok... dude u cant be serious... if a 360 had better graphics and better processing capabilities than the PC why isnt Crysis on the Xbox 360?? Why isnt Warhead? Why is the new CryEngine being scaled or DOWNGRADED so it can be used on consoles? Why do 360's have the RROD error and where did C&C first appear? PC!!!!!

The WIC expansion could well become a PERFECT RTS game, this is great news! I love WIC but wish there were a few more units - I'm a long time (since the dawn of time) RTS gamer and need to be slightly overwhelmed by a game to want to master it. If there were more units (and more units allowed in your personal force), plus AUTO-DOWNLOAD of custom maps, the game wouldn't need much else to really catch on Blizzard style. It's already an amazing base engine, it looks great and plays very smoothly. No time is wasted, the artillery options are extremely innovative. I can't wait for the next level.

Are you serious? The graphics are better on a console?? If you believe that you have been living in the dark your whole life. The nature of the PC, is that it is continuously updated, as opposed to a console, which is updated every 3 years or so. The technology available in PC's right now has already outdated the xbox 360. I have been both a pc and console gamer for years, and one thing holds true; the PC always has better graphics. This is of course giving that you have the right hardware and software on your PC. I am running a dual core PC, with Microsoft vista (which contains DX10 technolgy not available anywhere else, which has brought graphics on the pc to a level beyond the capacity of the xbox) And of course a $400 graphics card to go with it, which supports dx10. The result, stunning graphics and frame rates. I rented world in conflict on the 360... doesnt even come close to the pc experience. alot of highend features are cut, and additionally, the 360 simply lacks the graphics processing abilities of the nvidia 8000 series card i have. WHy? because the card came out after the 360... its simply newer technology.

But the graphics are better on consoles, since they are built for gaming, besides controls are easy to learn also, just look at CNC 3 and BFME2.

RTS's on a PC is better. You are more accurate, way faster, easier to pump out units and command them than a noobstick.

re "I really hope this is not true" why would anyone wish this not to be true, it is not like you have to play it on the 360. Go play in traffic stupid. re : "How do you play an RTS on a gamepad?" The easy and excellent way it was done for C&C 3 on 360. At least it'll play on my 360 when I put the disk in. Half the PC gamers will be playing with drivers, buying new graphics cards or playing traffic.
