Nintendo confirms a European release date for Miyamoto-san's latest pet hobby-turned-next craze...

Europe will finally have the chance to see whether Shigeru Miyamoto's latest creation is going to be the next big thing or perhaps a personal curiosity stretched a little too far, with confirmation that Wii Music will launch across the territory on November 14th.

Featuring over 60 instruments to play along to any of the 50 included tracks, Wii Music allows players to shake Wii Remote to play instruments such as the steel drums, bass guitar, saxophone, and a barking dog - yeah we're not entirely sure which gesture will be needed to perform that!

Featuring a variety of game modes, Jam is the main game type which is split between Improvise, Quick Play and Custom Jam. Once the song is complete, you can save it as a video clip, personalise it with a record sleeve, and share it with friends via WiiConnect24.

Beyond that a Virtual Drum Kit works in conjunction with the Wii Fit board, to bring virtually every aspect of a standard drum kit to the Wii. Whilst finally Wii Music also allows you to wield the Wii Remote like a baton and conduct an orchestra comprising of Mii's, controlling the speed and volume of the rendition.
