Nintendo confirms sales have passed the million mark for its first foray into fitness...
OK we'll be the first to admit, Wii Fit concerns us. All we want from Nintendo is a steady supply of gems such as Super Mario Galaxy, but if the recent success of their new focus is anything to go by, it seems as though we're going to be seeing more alternative titles from the Japanese giant than traditional classics.
Combining the unusual proposition of a fitness game with the Wii Balance Board, it seems as though Nintendo is onto another winner with confirmation that the "game" has shifted a million units since its Japanese release on December 1st 2007.
Nintendo has yet to confirm a European release beyond Spring 2008, but expect fitness mania to spread across the region very soon.

I am on my 76th day using the wii fit I have naver had the courage (or time) to go to a gym even though I am a size 12............ I love it!! For three days a week I do at least an hour, surely better than sitting on my bum!! feeling a little fitter, but unfortunately not lost any weight yet, ;( still trying.

The Wii is great. The Wii Fit helps keep me active. Even though it is not as good as playing an actual sport, its a good alternative.

I love my wii fit board, it's so much fun and I've played it daily.
I'm mummy to a gamer and my partner is mr ps3 and i hate them so a big thumbs up to wii fit!
