Just days after it was threatened with delisting, reports from the US have revealed that Sumner Redstone has sold his majority stake in publisher, Midway Games...for $100k.

Redstone's National Amusements holding company had a mammoth 87% stake in Midway, but according to the Wall Street Journal's report, the new stakeholder (an investor called Mark Thomas), not only acquired the shares for pittance, but also its debts of $70 million.

Midway Games recently released Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, which has so far failed to enter the UK's all format, all price Top 40 chart.  The publisher will be launching Vin Diesel vehicle, Wheelman, in February 2009.
