Rare's upcoming Xbox 360 title will be released in both a Standard and Limited Edition, joining the likes of Halo 2 and Gears of War...
Microsoft has today confirmed that Rare's Viva Pinata title for Xbox 360 will be given the Limited Edition treatment when it's released towards the end of the year. The move comes just weeks after it was confirmed that Gears of War would also be launched in two editions.
Noticeably different to previous Limited Edition versions however, the Viva Pinata Limited Edition won't feature a second disc of 'Behind the Scenes' footage; instead gamers will be treated to a whole episode of the animated series, along with demos of several 'family-friendly' titles.
Whilst the addition of the cartoon may be a neat idea that'll appeal to gaming parents and their offspring, the fact that the playable demos (LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, Frogger, Time Pilot, and Marble Blast Ultra) are already freely available to download over Xbox Live Marketplace, means their appearance on the disc is a tad surprising.
