Sega Announce VF4 Evolution News

At a Japanese press event, Sega announced a selection of new titles, including a Playstation2 port of Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution, whilst also taking the time to release concrete details on the Sega Ages titles currently in development.<br><br>Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution is an expansion to the popular fighting title, which was recently released in the arcades. The game features two new characters, whilst the PS2 home conversion will benefit from a reworked visual engine that should result in a closer conversion and an all new Quest Mode, which appears to similar to the Story Mode in Soul Calibur. The excellent training feature from VF4 on the PS2 will return, whilst the game can also utilise the PS2 HDD to eradicate loading times.<br><br>Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution is scheduled for release in Japan on March 13th 2003, no word yet on a Western release date.<br><br>Other titles announced from Sega included a PS2 port of the Sega Rosso arcade racer, Initial D: Special Stage; manga fans will realise the name as a popular Japanese animated show, a Western conversion looks very unlikely at this stage. Updates to the ‘Let’s Make a Professional Baseball Team’ and ‘Let’s Make a J.League Soccer Team’ are also planned from SmileBit, these management titles sell well in Japan, but a European release is about as likely as Microsoft buying Nintendo!<br>
