Viewtiful Joe 2 - First Look Preview

Capcom today officially confirmed the announcement of Viewtiful Joe 2 for Playstation2 and GameCube.

Promising more, more and more from the return of Joe; Viewtiful Joe 2 sees the return of the evil Gedow organisation, as they set out to launch a vicious attack on Movie Land. Once again itâ??s up to Joe to save the day.

However this time around Joeâ??s girlfriend Sylvia is set to join in the action, as she seeks revenge for being taken hostage and made the stereotypical â??damsel-in-distressâ?? in the first title; sadly early suggestions of a 2P co-op mode appear to have disappeared, as there is no mention in the official press release, however weâ??ll do our best to uncover the official low-down and bring this to you soon.

Naturally Sylvia can also make use of the VFX powers gifted to Joe, whilst she also comes equipped with a brand new gun â?“ making Sylvia a force to be reckoned with.

Viewtiful Joe 2 is also set to introduce a new VFX power to the repertoire in the shape of â??Replayâ?; by doing so, players can record their on-screen action and play it back to multiply damage by three times. In a neat twist this power can be used to do more then simply dish out damage, for example Joe could eat a Hamburger to replenish his health and then replay it to increase your strength by three times. However there are side effects to using the Replay VFX, as if you make a mistake and replay it you will sustain three times the normal damage â?“ so use with caution.
