The Vietnam War tightens itâ??s stranglehold on the videogames market at the end of this month, with Vietcong: Purple Haze being released on Xbox and Playstation2. The game, an amalgamation of the best missions from the Original PC version of Vietcong, and its extension pack Fist Alpha plus two new missions, is expected to be released on September 24th.
The Xbox release will be Live! compatible, with up to 10 players (depending on the game type) playing together at the same time. Multiplayer game types will of course include the standard fare of Death Matches and Capture the Flag, but it will also include an â??Assault Team Gameâ??. These games include specific objectives that the players must complete in order to win, such as protecting pilot, etc.
Both the Xbox and Playstation2 versions of Purple Haze will include â??QuickFightâ?? modes, which allow you to develop and hone your skills by jumping straight into battle.
