SEGA officially confirms the rumours, VectorMan is no more...

SEGA today confirmed what many hardcore followers have been fearing over the last couple of months, with the announcement that development on ‘Vectorman’ has been stopped and the game officially canned.<br><br>The update to the MegaDrive classic was unveiled to the gaming world at E3’03, where it impressed with its impressive visuals and frantic action. Unfortunately it appears that its limited appeal beyond the SEGA hardcore community was the reason, although SEGA have not officially given a reason as of yet.<br><br>On a slightly upbeat note SEGA confirmed that development is still progressing on ‘Altered Beast’, whilst the original MegaDrive title was anything but a classic we have high hopes for the impending Playstation2 update.<br><br>We’ll have more news soon.
