Petroglyph's Sci-Fi RTS coming to the Xbox 360...

Already in development for PC, SEGA has confirmed its intention to follow EA's example of RTS titles for the consoles, with confirmation of an Xbox 360 adaptation of Petroglyph's forthcoming Universe At War: Earth Assault.

Promising a control system designed from the ground up, Universe At War: Earth Assault finds the Earth under an epic struggle to prevent complete alien domination of the planet. Promising a unique weapon/defence dynamic that allows players to modify each of the units in real-time on the battlefield, Petroglyph will be paying extra attention to ensure a balanced experience for the online persisent world.

"Universe at War: Earth Assault is poised to break new grounds in RTS gaming by entering the console arena," said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. "With a control scheme specifically designed with console gamers in mind, RTS gaming can now conquer the console frontier."
