SEGA and Valve announce a catalogue of new titles for the Steam online game download service...

Universe At War: Earth Assault

SEGA and Valve has announced that Universe at War: Earth Assault, SEGA Rally and The Golden Compass will be made available on Steam. Additionally, Total War SEGA titles (Medieval II and Rome) that were once only available on Steam in North America, are now available in Europe.

The Total War games (including expansion packs) and SEGA Rally are available immediately. Following on from this, The Golden Compass and Universe at War: Earth Assault titles will be released on Steam in Europe alongside their December and January retail release dates respectively.

Sports Interactive fans won't be happy to find out that only North American (Worldwide Soccer Manager) and South American (Futbol Manager) versions of Football Manager 2008 will be on Steam. That seems a little strange, however, as Europe probably has the largest prospective market for SI's legendary series.

I also agree that this is the best game of 2008. Game developers must take a few tips when playing this.
