Could Nathan Drake be heading to the South Pole in Uncharted 3...
Updates to what appears to be Nathan Drake's meinVZ (a social network popular in Germany) page appear to be hinting towards what his latest adventure will entail in Uncharted 3.
Nestled within a previous update are references to Roald Amundsen, a Norwegian explorer who became the first person to reach both the North and South poles.
One such update (hastily transcribed) claims:
"Amundsen reached the South Pole first. He writes about a city that is said to have lain under the ice. That makes no sense!"
Well it appears to be making a little more sense to us. Uncharted 2 looked exceptional in the snowy regions, so why wouldn't Naughty Dog contemplate putting the charmer back into the wintry wilderness.
Earlier in the year the voice actor behind Nathan Drake, Nolan North, told GamePro that an Uncharted 2 sequel is on the cards for 2010.
Expect further details, and an official announcement, soon.

simply can not wait for this. uncharted and then uncharted 2 are my favourite games i've ever played. and i don't say that lightly, i've been playing games since before i got my spectrum all those years ago! 8-)

It has the the potential to be the best game this generation but its gonna have alot of competition for game of the year in 2011. me3, tes5,lbp2, and infamous 2, I think are very strong competitors for goty.
