News has filtered through the web unveiling some of the multiplayer features for Uncharted 2...
Multiplayer details of Sony's upcoming sequel, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, have been unveiled via an apparent leak on the NeoGAF forums that specifies both adversarial and co-op modes.
It seems the sequel to Drake's Fortune will include a 3 player co-op mode, although the co-op campaign will be different from the main single-player offering. Features of the mode will include mini-bosses, actions and zones that require 2 or 3 players to complete, and a revival system that encourages team support.
The adversarial modes will include 8 player team deathmatches and a CTF variant called 'Capture the Treasure'. As you might expect, instead of capturing a flag, players will be capturing treasure from the opposing team's base.
Usually we'd take this kind of forum info with a large pinch of salt but, given the very convincing multiplayer screens accompanying the post, it seems likely that the details are at least fairly accurate.
The multiplayer cat was let out of Uncharted 2's metaphorical bag last week when pictures of an inFamous pre-order box revealed a promotional voucher for a multiplayer beta of Uncharted 2.

Anyone who's downloaded and played in the multiplayer DEMO, not "beta", knows it works perfectly. I've heard nothing but praise for the single player campaign as well. Excellent reviews all around.

I'd rather they continued to focus on a strong single-player experience, but as long as they create that then I'm not going to turn down co-op.

Despite my initial scepticism over this news, I think multiplayer could work. I'm more interested in the co-op, but deathmatches could be fun, so long as in doing this the single-player mode does not suffer.
I'll probably be buying inFamous anyway, so I will be interested in checking this out.
